18-year-old accidentally damages her 17-year-old friend, Mia's, phone during a scuffle to get hers back after friend takes it to prank message crush, leading to a dispute when friend demands she pay for her to get new phone: 'I don’t think it’s my fault '

Nothing is scarier than two 18-year-old girls in a catfight,  they're a whole different level of mean and fierce! I don't know what makes so many 18-year-olds think they're always in the right, but we've all been there… as much as we try to forget it. This trio spent most afternoons at the mall: window shopping, hysterically laughing, and occasionally stirring the pot. But one day, things went too far when one friend took her "prank" to the next level by snatching another girl's phone and trying to text her crush on it. In a moment of panic, the girl tried to grab it back, causing the prankster to drop her own phone, which was smashed into pieces below them.

Now, in the 18-year-old girl world, that's a very big deal. No phone =  social life! Furious, she threatened to end their friendship unless her friend paid for a new one. The thing is, she wasn't the one who started this mess. If it weren't for that silly prank, the phone would still be in mint condition. But will she be able to stand up to this A-class mean girl who just won't stand down?

We're just glad that this young woman is standing her ground and not being cornered into a position where she feels obligated to do anything to earn her ‘friend's’ forgiveness, no matter how many girls are on her side!

    NTA. Antique_Ad7493 If her phone had been secured in a pocket or purse or held securely in her hand, it would not have been dropped. Who doesn't put a protective case on their phone? I've had phones with dollar tree cases and I've bought Otterbox, there is no excuse. At most, you might offer to pay to have it repaired but any replacement is on her. Next time she might want to keep her hands off someone else's property.

Grabbing someone else's phone to prank message any of their contacts without the owner's permission is absolutely unacceptable. I don't care if it's your mom, sister or friend.
